BIOART features a well-balanced partnership in terms of organizations involved and expertise required. Since the field of bioengineering is by essence multidisciplinary, the representatives of the different partner institutions can bring to the project their own expertise, including materials, mechatronics, robotics, computer vision, digital signal processing, and biomedical engineering (where some of the partners have a long experience).
All the teaching partners have a broad knowledge in instructional design (including qualification with learning outcomes definition) and evaluation, in eLearning environment development, in teaching and training. Furthermore, the consortium has a large geographical coverage, which will contribute substantially to the internationalization of the HE and will allow wider impact of the project’s results through their dissemination in all regions. All partners will be involved in the needed analysis, all evaluation activities, implementation in the target partners, and all will share the responsibility for the valorization of project results. All have capacities and expertise in curriculum development, implementing two cycle system/ECTS, and training engineers using practice-oriented methodology. Numerous partners have proven experience in running international projects. Each course will be designed by the best laboratory/department in the field which counts with the necessary infrastructure and facilities to perform the practical work.
BIOART does not only bring together a well-balanced consortium that is capable of achieving the project objectives, but also includes partners that complement each other ideally, taking into account the balanced participation of key people. As a conclusion, the consortium incorporates all necessary expertise and capacities for quality implementation of the work plan and delivering a significant impact.
